Ugh, pant sizes....I think I'm in between a 9/10 right now at 140.5lbs. I'm not hippy, but I've always had love handles that seemed WAY too big, thus making any pants that fit me around the waist, sag in the behind area. As I'm losing weight, I'm realizing that my love handles are giving me some semblance of an hour glass figure. Without them, I'd be a square.

I don't really know what size I want to be. I'm 5/1 but I can only remember being a 3 one time. I'm pretty sure the pants were sized wrong AND I had the flu Laughing With my love handles, I know I'll never be anywhere near the 0,2,4 range, so, I think I'd be ok w/a 6 or an 8. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how I feel when I get there.

I am 5'5" and as a teen was very skinny at 115 lbs. I was happy when I gained 15 to hit 135. I am happy when I wear a 10-12. I look ok at a size 8 but I really would not want to be any smaller than that. Currently at a 16 or so.

Vanity sizing? Good God, no wonder I despise shopping for clothes. I wish I could shop like a man, look at size, buy, leave store, but NOOOO, I have to try on everything. Here I thought it was me being difficult (as my hubby says) when I tell people I don't know my size (cause the numbers don't seem to mean a damn thing at all) they look at me like i'm crazy for not knowing.

I currently wear a 14, would love to be a solid 12. Once many moons ago, for a very short time I weighed 135 and was a size 8. That was fun, but I am older and wiser now Smile

@ 148lbs and 5'6" I am fitting into 10s and some 8s; I would like to see what I would look like if I fit into a size 6, which I don't think I have ever been able to fit (even in high school I was in the 12-14 range). My problem is not so much love handles as much as my very wide hips, I'm very pear shaped. Not the worst thing to be as it makes my waist appear smaller than it is, but trying to find jeans that fit right without having the waist band bunch out or show my panties in the back is impossible!

I think that for women size is just as important as weight sometimes... the scale is important but more important is how we feel at that size and how we feel we look.

I think that the size differs a lot depending on your body type. For me it's size 6 in pants/skirts and 8-10 in tops (big chest, wide shoulders). I have a hour-glass figure and happy to have the fat evenly distributed, so even when I get more chubby, I still look proportional.

I am an 8 in misses probably over 12 in juniors but I was really happy at a 6 in juniors about 10 yrs ago...actually happier at 4 but that's too boyfriend would appreciate it if I kept my breasts which have already gone down at least 3 sizes since I started losing weight...everything is a double edged sword lol...I just want to wear a swimsuit and not be embarrassed and not have my thighs rub together when I want to wear shorts...hate it when they ride up!

at 135 lbs. i currently wear a size 8 (juniors 7-11 depending on the cut). but i'm also pear shaped so my flabby zone covers from belly to thighs. I'm still young (21) and pretty short (5'2"Wink so i think a size 4-6 is a good goal, although i think i would care less about my actual weight/size if my body was more lean and toned and less flabby.

I am 5'2" and 145lbs. I typically wear anywhere from a 4-11 huge jump I know. I am a 4/6 or 8/10 in tops and a 6-11 in bottoms depending on if it's womens or juniors. I would love to be a size 4 on the bottom. I'm supposed to be a petite woman so I know it sounds like a small size but it's what I should be at my height. My ultimate goal is to be 115lbs. I started at 301lbs and a size 26 so I know I can lose another 30lbs. The only question is how long will it take? I've been experiencing a plateau lately so it could take a while.

At 120, I wore a size 7 comfortably and I'm 5'6. I could fit into a size 5, but I like my jeans a little loose. I'd rather wear a belt than feel like a sausage.

If I were to go any lower than a 7, I'd like to be able to fit into a 5 with that same comfort. I do own a size 4 jeans from GAP that I like and am comfortable in, but it's the only pair of misses size jeans I have ever been able to wear -- usually, since my hips are significantly bigger than my waist, I can't get the pants over my hips to sit at my waist and when I go up a size to make it over my hips, the pants are too big in the waist and butt.

I was so happy the other day when I went shopping for shorts at Old Navy and I fit into a size 14. I was beaming -- then my husband says, "But Old Navy always runs big." Thanks, Phil... Smile Yes, I do hate the vanity sizes also. There's actually a push to get it standardized. I hope they do, because online shopping is a pain in the a-hole.

I'm 5'7" and I recently dropped down to a size 10, and I've never in my life fit into anything smaller, even after bootcamp when I was super healthy & fit. I still have 20ish more lbs to lose, so maybe I'll drop lower, or maybe not, but I'm thrilled to be in a size 10 right now because I feel healthy at this size. If I got below a 10 I think my husband would lose it. Super skinny girls freak him out and although he is becoming really supportive of my weight loss, I have to constantly reassure him that my goal isn't to see my spinal column protruding from my body.

I look back at pictures of me when I was a 7 and for my frame and build I think I looked unhealthy. I finally got back into my 12's (from about 3 or 4 years ago). I was around 189 in them so they do not fit me perfectly, but better than my other jeans that fall off. I will be happy to fit perfectly into my 12's and maybe a 10 but that would be it.

I started my wt loss journey wearing a womens 36 and have gotten down to a size 28 Smile I still have a long way to go but would be happy getting into an 18/20. 14/16 would be awsome but it depends on how my body feels at lower wts. I want to hit a wt i'm happy with and can maintain. Just looking forward to shopping in regular stores.

I'm 5'7" and 172, size 10-12 in pants & dresses. I would like to get to an 8. Yea, vanity sizing is a reality. At my smallest 124 30 years ago, I was a 9-10. I hate trying on clothes, but there is such variation in sizing I usually go to the dressing room with at least two sizes in a style.

yep, i'm the same as you bluelake. I always take 1-3 diff sizes in with me, especially pants! depending on the store, im a size 8/9-12! I'm 5'6 .5" and 140 pounds!it would be lovely if clothes were made for real sized women, not 0s! (i'm not hating on you tiny women, but the clothing manufactures make clothes with you in mind!)

I have hips and a butt. At my smallest, I was a size 2, but that was pre-hips and about 12 years ago. A few years back, I achieved size 6 and I think that's doable again someday. However, I'd be thrilled with size 10. My husband doesn't want to see me too skinny.
