Hello all,
I am a milk fiend and Adkins does not allow. Boo Hoo. I finally found something I can drink. It takes a while to get used to it, but "It can be done"
It is "Silk" soy milk, (unsweeted) make sure it is the unsweetened type. When I get it home, I add half a cup of splenda to the half gallon and it tastes much better. You WILL get used to this. It's a far cry from milk, but it is a nice substitution.
Give it a try all you milk lovers.

Soy is not allowed on induction. Also it has been known to cause weight loss stalls, it does for me and I have heard it from others too. Be careful and drink in moderation. Don't forget to count the carbs in your daily intake. Good luck.
Soy is also an pseudo-estrogen. Some say it is good for you, some say it isn't. Moderation is the key. The reason you crave milk is probably the same reason other people crave bread or ice-cream. Just a thought.
Love the food that loves you back.
Take it one day at a time!

Have you tried taking Heavy Cream (which has zero Carbs) with just enough water to thin it out? Atkins allows Cream.

Here in the US we have a product produced by Hood called Calorie Countdown dairy beverage. It is very much like milk and is low carb (used to be called Carb Countdown). It comes in 2%, skim, and chocolate varieties.

thanks for this tip slease I'll look for it the next time I'm in the supermarket - I live in New England where Hood products originated, so I'm hoping I can find it.
My name is GlennM- Hi! I was quite overweight about ten years ago for my height. I am thin now. I have only Atkins to thank for making me trim again. Stick with this diet long-term everyone if you can. It works! Now I'm doing Calorie
Count as maintenance. Thanks for any and all support.

Even though fat doesn't count in Atkins, it can cause you to gain or not lose weight if you consume too much. Be careful of over eating this nutrient. ie: cream, cream cheese.
