Do you think they stall you? I just made one for the first time the other day. Had one again today. I don't know how they'll effect me, but they're good Smile well, with a little butter on it and maybe some water to wash it down with. Thoughts, fellow atkin followers?

I have them for breakfast a lot and don't have a problem with them. I have them with sugar-free jam and a dollop of double cream.
Cheers,

Karen

I had a MIM post about a week ago. I like the idea of the MIM and the results of eating one and drinking the right amount of water. I do find that it overpowers other food. I was really excited to have a bacon, egg, and cheese MIM and all I could taste was the MIM. I find that it is great to slice and butter with a sprinkle of cinnamon and splenda. I am not on Atkins. I am on my own low carb/high protein WOE. And I like MIM.

I don't always use the baking powder when I make a MIM. In fact, rarely. You might just give it a try. I use it when I make the flax bread, though with the bread I leave out the oil.
For the MIM, I think it's because I didn't have any baking powder when I first made them. I don't use the oil in the bread because it turns out fine and the flax is high enough in fat and calories that I'm not loosing anything.
Just a thought. =)

Just made my first MIM plus 10 seconds had with a touch of butter and my decaf coffee and it was a nice switch from eggs or chicken for breakfast. I will see how things go and hopefully make more.

Had my first MIM yesterday. It was great. Loved that I could pretend that I was eating bread.

I LOVE the MIM. I think it's very harty, and keeps you full. I have it with my coffee in the morning and have a snack round 11 ish. Then I sit down and eat a small lunch around 1pm. I can think of so many ideas to us the MIM. Totally loving it! The only difference is I don't use oil in my at all.Slice it thin to make it seem like your eating a sandwich, put a over easy egg on it like your having a biscut... the ideas are endless. Smile Wah-lah!

What is it? Can you eat on induction? Can someone point a girl to the recipe?

Thanks in advance

MIM's are short for muffin in a minute. yes, you can use them on induction. there are several recipes on the Atkins website under the induction section. it's a nice break from the standard eggs and they're great with cream cheese. and in case your not familiar with flax, I find mine in the baking section of the grocery store by the flour. they also help with keeping things regular due to the high fiber content.

gkcfm95 thanks for reminding me to try it with cream cheese. I was wondering how to do my MIM tonight. I like to cut stuff up to make different MIMs. A half teaspoon of ground coffee and sugar-free chocolate chips made in the MIM is delicous. If you do this, don't put cinnimon or splenda in it.

I am hooked on thsoe darn MIMs! I haven't found it to slow my weight loss but I am trying not to have them every day so I don't get tired of them. Been meaning to try it with pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice for a bit of variety. It'll up the carbs slightly but I think it'll be a taste adventure!
** Goal 1- 20 pounds
** Goal 2- get back down to wearing size 16 jeans
** Goal 3- normal blood pressure
** Goal 4- well below "One" Derland

the pumpkin mims are yummy. i use cinnamon and allspice. they're not as dry as the original, but they turn out a lot bigger, like almost twice the size.

I've never heard of these, but I'm gonna try some this week. Thankfully my mother already has ground flaxseed in the pantry!

I have taken the sweetener packet out of the mix and instead added it to 2 tablespoons of whipped cream cheese and put in 1/4 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries in the mix. Cook 1:30 in microwave slice in thirds and there is enough sweetened cream cheese for each slice YUM.
