I have been so careful these early weeks with eating properly and was so happy to see the scale move, just to find out scale foot brake and has been "lying" to me. Argh, so I bought a new scale and am going hardcore to catch up to the weight I thought I had reached already.Wink

ahhhh the f%?*!** scale. lolll. The scale is there to torture us, so I measure myself so much more realistic. I may gain a pound or stall but my measuring tape may say a 1/2 inch less. I weigh myself daily and sometimes many times in a mourning and my weight can shift 6lbs within minutes so I don't really rely on the scale.

I just had my husband hide my scale, otherwise I was weighing myself several times a day too, why, I have no idea... I am much less stressed without my scale staring at me all day. Smile

We have two scales at home. The one in the bathroom we have nicknamed "The Scale of Doom." Depending on where it is in the bathroom, it can give you up to three different readouts, with differences ranging from two to as much as seven pounds! Scary and hilarious! Razz

The other scale is our Wii Fit. This one is the one that's most reliable. If it says you're 165, you'll be 165 if you move it to a slightly different location, or step back on in two minutes time.

Generally, I use my Wii Fit number for my weigh-ins. Plus, it's fun to watch little virtual Mii get smaller Very Happy

I'm a bit of a scale fanatic. I always worry about slipping. I can easily eat enough to gain a pound in a day, so I am always weighing myself on different scales to make sure they aren't lying to me. I have two scales at home and also use the one at the gym and doctor's office. (I see the doctor a lot.)

I am not scale obsessed but I am forcing myself to step on it each day, regardless of its unwillingness to move downward. I do prefer the digital scales that can register the weight loss in minute increments so I can see progress in 1/2 or 1/4 pounds.

You only fail when you stop trying. So take that first step NOW (not tomorrow, next week, or next month) and keep on going! Start with a first step that seems easy and take it from there.
