It is a struggle every day to stay on the diet this time of year! What is everyone doing to help them get through the holidays?

What is you plan for Thanksgiving?

I decided not to cook a big dinner, but to go out so that I don't have all those delicious leftovers to tempt me.

My trouble is all the junk people bring to work "to share" around this time of year: cookies, candies, brownies, cupcakes, cheese bagels, baklava, sweetbreads, fruitcake, truffles...need I go on? Thanksgiving and Christmas are just 2 meals in an entire year, but people make it 2 months of eating badly. It really wouldn't be so bad if it were just those two meals.

I plan to eat right up until that day and then not worry about it for one meal. Then I'll go back to my diet the next day. Do what works for you.

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

You are right! It is not those 2 days, it is the Holiday Season that is difficult!

I so love all that Holiday comfort food. The Divinity and the caramel and the pie and the Holiday cookies and popcorn and fudge. I just have to tell myself that I have eaten those things before and I can have them again, I just choose not to have them right now

You are so close to your goal. It isn't worth it to try everything that comes along. Just chose what you will splurge on and when. That way you will retain your control and continue on without too much of a setback. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
