Why do you want to lose weight?

When I started karate we have a student creed we say at the beginning of class:
"I will develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or my physical health."

I truly believe in this creed and have been able to quit smoking after 25 + years of 1-2 packs per day. If I can do that, I can get my health (weight) under control as well.
The secret to success is to WORK HARD, and NEVER, EVER give up!

when I say live I don't just mean a longer life, I want myself and my little family to also live long productive fun lives, we can't do that overweight and out of breath!

To some extent, all of my top three have to do with health. Too much fat in your midsection around most of your internal organs is really bad for you, and that's where most of my extra fat is. I want to be at my ideal weight when I get pregnant so that I can have a happy and healthy pregnancy and baby, and I want to be more fit and active which is all about being healthier as well.

Not saying you were putting anyone down, but I found your observation interesting enough to expound on.

Because, as of now, my health is good. Exxcss weight will effect my future health, but I like to focus on more immediate goals

weigh-in glitch
I just wonder if administration could fix the glitch that isn't recording my weigh-ins on my challenges. Is anyone else having this issue?

I live in Ontario Canada, I lost some weight last year with some support from fatsecret, but I stopped before hitting my goal. I am now back for more; I hope I can stick to it like I did last Spring! ...
