Hi lindyflowers
Welcome to this site.
I like the yoga too. I do some yoga and stretching before every workout.

Love the wii fit plus, got it for Christmas from my hubby (who thought he was going to get into trouble.) Anyways Started Christmas day have lost 50+ lbs but I'm in a major slump...can't lose a lb for anything. Starting to think about a bodybugg...anyone have one?

Anyone try WiiActve? I like it better. Real strength triaing (there's resistance bands, but I bought another set that's a little more challenging) and none of the start/stop of Fit. Love it. 43 pounds!

I have the WiiActive one. I am going to do the challenge once I move. I found that it didn't track my movements very well but will try again next month.
I'm thinking of getting the 10 minute workouts. Anyone have that one?

I have the Wii Active too....I do like it, just seem to do the wii fit more. I also have biggest looser, which I DO NOT like. I just bought JumpStarts Family Fitness today (my son requested it) I'll let you know how it is, although it seems to be more "sports" oriented, so we'll see.

I have the Biggest Loser and I think it is great. I've lost almost 15lbs.
Each week I'm down close to three pounds. Last week I didn't keep up on the program and skipped some work out days, but I still lost a pound. The days they do work you, they work you HARD

Did not read through all these posts yet... but just had to say... not only is the Mii chubby and does it tell me I'm obese... but I swear it sounds like the balance board is saying "ouch" everytime I step on it. (I think it's really saying "okay", but it sounds like its in pain!)

I've found the Active (i have both the active and the more active) to be the most "real" workout with the best of the action sensors as a combination.
I think the biggest loser game is a killer workout, but because the motion sensors do not register almost any of what I'm doing, I get yelled at the entire workout.
The wii fit is much more fun, but as far as a power-punched physical workout, not so much.
I also have gold's gym, which is also awesome. the controls work, and its a fairly strenuous workout. however, mostly its just punching... you are supposed to bounce around like a boxer, but i'm horrible at that.
I use them in combination, and since getting the wii in december, have lost around 45 pounds. But, I also do various other workouts besides just the wii.
The best thing about the wii was that it got me started. even with just the wii fit, i learned that i was physically capable of far more than i THOUGHT i was (get the bicycling unlocked to the advanced mode, you can go for quite some time without the start and stop thing... ) - and it made me more willing to try more and more types of exercise.
Plus, sometimes its good to just have fun with it.
Speaking of which, I'm going to go get on my exercise bike. No wii today for me.

I don't weigh in every time. I only weigh in once a week. Instead of doing the body test, I just hit training. It still records my activity, just not my weight. Then I don't have to see the yo-yo of the daily weigh-in. It also motivates me to "stick to it" during the week, since I have to work toward losing for the weekly weigh-in.

Hey guys! I'm new to the site and saw this post and wondered the same thing. I know as people we vary through out the whole week, and I hate to see when it says i gain weight. Thanks so much for the idea about skipping the weight check. I never thought of that.
I've been playing Wii Fit for the last couple months and lost 25lbs. I was so excited I thought it wasn't possible till now. I just bought EA Active and Its much more brutal than Wii Fit, but in a great way. I use them both. I've made a Yoga routine that i try to do everyday and I do my 30day challenge on the Active.
Since getting on this site today, i've ready a lot of good things about Walk It Off.. any of you have this game?

Hi aburnham
I have not heard of "walk it off". If it associated with one of the game packs or is it a seperate game? Would love to try it.

Anyone using the Fitbit Flex or similar devices?
I like the FitBit Zip. I've maintained 10,000 steps daily by taking power walks on my breaks. I think it was definetely worth the purchase.
