Let me tell you that this site and Insanity have saved my life. I have lost over 33lbs in 60 days and I am now onto TurboFire.

I made a video that documents my story and results.

Check it out.

I know, I love it too. I am pushing myself through TurboFire now, but I always seem to compare it to Insanity.

My friend and I did insanity last year and lost 40-45lbs a piece! We both got injured and had to stop. Gained weight, of course. Starting back up again now. I have done some of the turbo fire and love it too! It works better for me right now because I injured my wrist and can't do a lot of floor work. Love the intensity. Burn, on average, about 700 calories a workout.

It's on the list... I am going to do P90x next, then Asylum after that. My goal is to hit 100lbs in a calendar year.

TurboFire is hit and miss with me now. I can't stand the Fire 45 and Fire 55 workouts. They are too complex and I end up swearing at Chalene by the end. I modified it so that on the Fire 45 and 55 nights, I will do Fire 30 (which I love) along with a HIIT 15 or 25 workout to make up the time to 45 or 55 minutes.

Try some of those little pushup handles. I can't do floor work without them, but grasping a bar causes me no issues.

Meeel, running is my favorite thing in the world. My husband talked me into Insanity (which I sometimes did in addition to my running workouts but more often just did it instead) and, you're not gonna believe this, but I shaved almost a minute off my mile time over a 5 mile run. The plyo builds incredible muscles and core strength, and I attribute it to that. I'm still not fast by any means, but I'm a helluva lot faster than before it. I'm not advertising, I'm just sayin'. Finger hearts. Fuh rheal.

I suggest that you give it a try with him. I've had some friends over doing it with me and they are surprised how much it pushes you and how addicting it is.

It will get you in the best shape of your life.

I don't think these over the top highly ballistic exercise routines are necessary and by their nature can easily lead to injury or are sustainable in the long term especially as you get older .

What would you suggest then? Curious.

You don't necessarily have to be at a better level of fitness. This programme was designed for even absolute beginners. the trick is to go at your own pace. Know your body and your limits. You don't always need to go so hard just because Shaun T says so. Start small and keep pushing yourself gradually till you finally get there. Take breaks when you need to as well. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that, I was just like you, waiting to get 'fit enough' to do Insanity. Only thing that did for me was help me procrastinate. So my advice to you is to just get on it. Start small and go at your own pace.

How long do you all work out for?
It depends on the type I do. Usually 25-30 min of weights and/or HIIT. I really like a free website called fitnessblender.com. Lots and lots of different types of workouts and lengths there.
