He's right. You could do crunches all day, every day, but you'll never be able to see muscles as long as you have a blanket of fat over your stomach.

intermittent fasting
I use it sometimes when I know I am going out to eat, but my calorie intake is currently high enough to where I am able to eat ~4 times a day.
