Does anyone else experience mood swings regarding their weight, or how they look in the mirror. Somedays I feel absolutely wonderful and can see all the good changes, yet others I feel like a over stuffed sausage! Plus no matter what anyone says I still feel very flawed.
If anyone else has this issue please tell me how you deal with it! Thank you!

Oh jeez you an I are in the same boat. Yesterday I felt wonderful, and today is generic-fitting-shirt day. I try to tell myself that tomorrow will be the better day, and then I'll follow my diet more strictly or workout harder... it's probably what causes these swings, haha. Best of luck!

i really struggle with accepting compliments on my weight loss. the fact is i've lost 30 pounds and to me i look exactly the same as i did 30 pounds ago so i don't really see what the fuss is. i get weird too i will put on an outfit think i look pretty good in it for half the day and then deside sometime in the afternoon that i look like i stuffed myself into my little sisters clothing. so i guess i have mood swings lol

Yep. Mood swings like crazy. My weight gain was rather sudden and relatively severe. I'm not adjusting to it very well. I deal with it by working on this diet and exercise thing. Some things are in my control, some aren't. I just try to focus on those things I can alter. Oh, and when you feel really horrid, force a big smile for 10 or 15 seconds. It helps if you do that a lot.

I feel exactly like this. There are many days where I will feel so great, then there are days that I feel just the same as I did before, and I feel like I would have if I hadn't lost a pound. It can be very depressing!

Been there... Pictures help - before -- during-- and after. That way you can see the changes. It's easier to see the progress when you're looking at it on paper than in the mirror. The other thing that can help is wearing clothes that fit properly -- ok that is difficult when losing weight. I know on days when I wear a form fitting shirt, I feel better. Days when I wear the baggy clothes that really are too big, those are the days I feel frumpy. Hopefully as you progress, the good days will outnumber the bad. Try to think of things that make you feel grateful.

ECO Atkins for a skinny vegetarian with a belly
This would be a good question for the nutritionist over on the atkins.com boards. Colette Heimowitz is her name. Post your question with her name in the title and she will respond.

Weekends are hard for me too, but last weekend I made sure to come on here and record everything and that helped. I don't know if you record on weekends or not, but if you don't it may help. I ...
