Do you have access to resistance bands? Here's an example of one we do in my boot camp class. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm1wextL2x4

You can always wrap the band around a pole in your basement or even a tree outside to 'anchor' it. Another we do, standing the same as in the video, with arms straight out in front of your body, and some tension in the band, draw the alphabet while trying to keep your arms straight in front of you.

Why do they have to be standing? If you have access to a gym with a pull down cable machine, you can do those standing weighted crunches, but they're way more effective from a kneeling position. This is probably the only exercise I'd recommend that's somewhat "standing", as it allows you to use progressive weights and you can isolate the peak contraction point very well.

That being said, why not just do other, more versatile, and better exercises that aren't "standing"?
If you think my post is too abrasive, harsh, or offensive, you're:
A) Wrong.
B) Too sensitive.
C) Not going to receive an apology for pointing it out.

Any particular reason for stand up only?? If you have access to a roman chair, you can perform bent leg lifts, straight leg lifts. Both can be done with your back to the padding or you can support yourself with your upper body and hold the bars on either side.

The bands are a great idea because you can do a version of reverse crunches by wrapping the band around your feet and bringing one knee to your chest at a time.

This is fun and you can feel it if you do it often: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay2sD6ZWA0Y.

Standing abs are possible, bring your knees straight up and curl your shoulders down, you can take your knee up to the side to meet your elbow for your obliques, opposite shoulder to opposite knee. Standing holding light weights in each arm, arms dangling and lean to the right, sliding the weight down the side of the body and back up. abs are sucked in tight the while you do this. this works your waist also.
