concerns on calorie intake - ATKINS

having entered yesterdays food diary the summery looked like this

kcal 1845 fat130 protein 149.39 carbs 10.19

i also did 1.5 hour gym session last night

im concerned about the level of calories....should i be?
So far having just had breakfast and snacked on a couple of babybels my calorie intake is already at 870 - am i on track or does this need to chang?? advice/thoughts please!!

the atkins diet states not to worry about your calorie intake. unless you are not losing for a significant amount of time. i think your numbers look pretty good. i frequently go over my daily rdi (not my net carbs) and i am having no problems losing. so i'd say keep doing what you're doing and just watch what happens, if you're gaining or not losing then adjust it.

I wouldn't worry about the calories unless you were concerned that they were too low! I have had some great results living a low carb lifestyle, and I haven't counted calories yet =)

Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.
