i lost a lot of weight quickly on this diet, but I can't get started on it again. Stayed on it last week for 4 days and lost 2kg. Over the weekend, I stopped. need to get started again.

I'm not a big fan of "diets." By definition a diet is you eating something you don't want to eat because you think it will lose you weight. The trouble is as soon as you stop (and you will -- everybody runs out of willpower) you'll gain all the weight back. You're better off consulting a nutritionist, preferably someone with some personal trainer experience who can show you how to eat better and exercise better with the goal of losing weight. Much healthier, safer, and more effective (but slow). But when you're done, you won't be on a diet and you'll ALREADY be eating what you want, not what you feel like you have to.

I agree with Dave....you need to just change your eating habits and increase movement. Fad diets may show a change in the scale but what happens when you resume your "normal" eating habits....you gain what you lost and in most cases more! Change your life style and increase movement - in a healthy manor!

Water weight. When people say weight loss, what they're really going for is fat loss and fat loss just doesn't happen at that rate. Think of it in terms of burning 3500 cals more than you eat for each pound you lose (and the opposite for gaining weight). I promise you that you were NOT losing a pound a day in fat while you were on that crash diet. 2 lbs (or 1 kg) a week is a realistic goal for any sustainable weight loss plan. In addition to water weight, you can also lose muscle with crash diets- another big mistake. When you lose muscle, you burn fewer calories, which makes you more likely to put weight back on again. It also helps you to look better- most people's standard of beauty includes muscle tone, plus muscle makes you look smaller at the same weight. Easy come, easy go- if you want lasting weight loss to look and feel your best, you need a gradual, balanced, long-term approach.
