How to update RDI so calories burned for resting and sleeping are also updated

Do not use RDI. Every day before you enter any exercise go into your exercise diary. It should show 16 hours of resting and 8 hours of sleeping. Use that as your RDI. As you enter different weights each day those numbers will change.

For me for today it is 2152. That's the number you need to beat in order to lose weight - it works for me anyway.

Thinking the same as you I recalculated my RDI (diet journal/ view full diet journal/ go to bottom and below the pie chart is a link to do this). I changed my activity status and it did, in deed, change my RDI.

However it made no differenct to the sleeping and resting calories used......... which kinda makes sense in its way. However, I too feel mine are too high and went off to check my bmr....... which came out loads lower. Hence I posted asking how those figures were calculated incase there were some hidden factors. Not found out yet.

Signing in with Google on iPad app
