Life style...well I sit on my bum at work but then I don't sit unitl I go to bed at night...I'm either walking approx 2 miles almost every day or 1/2 hr zumba & a bit of strength training...is it active or low active?

I sit all day at work too and try to get a workout in 5-6 times a week. I usually put myself at low active because of all of the sitting I do during the day. I find that when I'm trying to calculate calories the low active end is more what I should aim for.
Goals for 2014:
Complete Couch to 5K- DONE!!!
Sign up for and complete a 5K- DONE!! 35 mins.
Plan at least 3 outings with the family that involve being active- 2 done

Unfortunately you have to be really careful about entering activity level and activities. You could end up with an extra 1000 calories a day that you never did in reality. Entries for desk work, driving, etc. should be left off IMO.

Luckily I don't put in for things like desk work, driving, etc... Strictly anything cardio or strength training...

The numbers they give you are only estimates that are based on groups of people who may not be like you. The people who they tested may be exercising harder or easier. Don't automatically add in lots of calories because the numbers say you burned them off. Tweak your program based on whether you are losing or not.
