At the stadium. Mostly everything there to eat is bad food; you know, dogs, burgers, nachos, etc.

What to eat?

I'm thinking chicken strips, but they're so darn boring!

Cool

I actually saw on some tv show that the best option when it comes to stadium food is a hot dog. Chicken strips are fried so they are definitely a no-no. Hope that helps...Smile

I always go for the hot dog. I love hot dogs and just think of it as a special treat.

On the other hand, depending on where you live, many ball parks now offer healthy choices. Wrigley Field offers fresh salads, veggies and humus and gluten-free/allergy-friendly foods.

Gefd28 -- Please don't tell me you are actually eating healthy food at Wrigley Field. How do you know you're at the game?

Seriously, though, when I developed really bad allergies, I started carrying my lunch to Wrigley. I bring sliced turkey wrapped in lettuce, some fruit, baby carrots. If I think I can afford the calories and sugar, I get myself an ice cream in the late innings. And I go home pretty satisfied.

The last time I was at AT&T park there was a vendor serving bacon-wrapped hot dogs. Anything seems healthy by contrast.

I would go with a hot dog. They are usually between 250-300 calories and I think the chicken would be more. If they have condiments, pile them on!

On the condiments side -- try to go with salsa, not ketchup. I was horrified to learn that a TBSP of ketchup is the equivalent of 3 tsp of sugar! I was a real ketchup fan, but now I keep plenty of mild salsa on hand as a replacement.

I think everybody in this thread gave good advice, but i'd like to add to it. i am on Armour Thyroid and probably need supplemental T4 as well. Be careful with iodine as too much can hurt your thyroid ...
