Experience With the Paleo Diet

Would anyone who has had experience with the Paleo Diet please recommend what websites are the most informative as well as books? There are a number of books out there which get mixed reviews. It would help me a lot to narrow my search to see if this diet is right for me. Also, if there is a Paleo cookbook that you have found please share.

I've been eating a mostly Paleo way for about 3 weeks. I like it and find it healthier than my previous, mostly healthy, way of eating. I've also adjusted my workout routine. I love Art De Vany's approach: "The New Evolutionary Diet" and www.arthurdevany.com. I also bought The Paleo Diet by Loren Cordain.

Robb Wolf who wrote The Paleo Solution
Mark Sisson who wrote The Primal Blueprint

The Paleo Solution is the book I'd recommend but it takes a very jovial tone; I've seen a number of reviews that don't appreciate that. The nice thing is that both websites provide the crux of their recommendations for free so that should help you decide about the diet without having to buy anything.

I follow Dr. Kurt Harris' recommendations.

He explains the science behind those recommendations.

Dr. Emily Deans' blog, Evolutionary Psychiatry, is excellent.

Dr. Peter Dobromylskyj's blog, Hyperlipid, is brilliant, funny and also at the top of my list.

Dr. Deans and Dr. Harris have links to sites and blogs, of other like-minded scientists, and those who eat to establish the evolutionary metabolic milieu. Dr. Harris also has a recommended book list, and links to sites for reading research material.

Dr. Uffe Ravnskov's, The Cholesterol Myths, are also most worthwhile reading.

I just started Primal Blueprint a few weeks ago and have found it easy to follow... good food and I am never hungry. I was basically doing low carb anyway, but I like not having to count my carbs and I like the fact it isn't as rigid a program as some of the others.

Read their blogs mentions in the posts above. Mike's Daily Apple has a great forum to read posts in also.
