Starting Paleo on Tuesday

After the July 4th holiday. My fiance' found out about this diet and we are so excited. We have to do some "Kitchen Clean up/out" this weekend and do some healthy shopping for once. What do we do? What is the best way to start? I had a hard time finding significant weightloss stories with Paleo, anyone have a testimony or can point me in the right direction to find some? Since we both have significant weight to lose, it would be nice to talk to others that have done it with Paleo.
Also we have young children to feed. Ideas on transitioning them away from Cheez-its and Doritoes? We share custody & the other parent is not on the same page necessarily.... ideas?
Happy to hear tips/ tricks/ receipes and support.

I just learned about paleo, myself. I've added some aspects of paleo into what I'm doing, although I'm not in any way following any one program. What I took from paleo is that by cutting out all processed food, the person is likely going to be eating low carb. I was already eating mainly whole foods, so this was just another step in that direction for me. I'm getting phenomenal results, although I'm just over a week in. 12 pounds in 8 days. Hopefully I can keep the trend going. Good luck to you.

with you having your food journal set to private, nobody can have a look to possibly see where you may be going wrong..... also, if you aren't losing on the scales try using the tape measure, sounds ...
