You always lose when you first start. I'm not sure what that is, but it is always that way for me. Trying not to get too excited about it.

Keep it up. The most important thing you can do initially is develop habits that you can maintain. One thing that helped me there was to sign up for classes that I did not want to cancel (in my case martial arts, but it could be any class that involves exercise). That way no matter how tired you feel you can keep the motivation up to go and exercise.

You should get excited about it. Then build on that excitement. Losing weight is what you make it. If you make it a game it can be fun. Get excited about how you want to look, how good you start to feel, and much physical progress you make.
Motivation is the starting pistol, commitment gets you to the finish line

Yep, it seems as though you do lose to start. I'm glad,as my pants are fitting better already. I had trouble with losing my thyoid this winter and I've not been as good as I used to be. Feeling sorry for myself I guess...

Hey, don't loose hope. I had the same issue when I did my first BFL challenge. I lost most of my weight the first 6 weeks, then it didn't seem like I was making any progress. This time around I'm eating more calories and making sure I hit my "10s" during my workouts and I'm making better progress physically, but not on the scale. It sounds like you are making progress too, but maybe not on the scale. It's all about how you feel and look. Try not to focus too much on the scale.

You'll always start out losing quicker on BFL. From May to September in 2010 I had a total weight loss of 40 lbs and it literally went like this: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6. It is a good diet, though. When I went off of it formally in September 2010, I just haphazardly ate okay some days, bad others, and 6 months later (now) I have gained 7 or 8 back. Starting back on BFL and should undo that 6 months of bad habits in 30 days or less

Have you thought of joining an Atkins challenge? You can get as much or as little support there as you want to have. :)
