Hello all, I am a disgruntled mid 40 something, with a passion for cakes, chocolate and smoothies. In an attempt to lose 16lbs in 16 weeks, I seemed to have gained more than I started with.

I am new to low carbing, but struggling to find foods that I like to eat. I have weighed myself today and put on another 4lb so am feeling a little despondent.

I have no idea how to count calories, nor how many calories a day I should be aiming for. Any help and advice gratefully received.

take 1 day at a time, and maintain an honest daily food diary, and you will reach your goal. It takes time, but think of the end result :)

Laughing..I remember being 14 in 1963 and 1964 and it was normal to go through an entire big can of Aquanet or other hairspray every week!!! Dang our hair would have stayed perfect in a hurricane!!
