Why no nuts?

Question Does anyone know WHY we aren't allowed almonds or other nuts in the detox phase? I don't have the book and i can't find the answer online anywhere. All i can think is that it's due to the high fat content? We all know that nuts are good for us.. unless you are allergic. (which i am to peanuts). But love almonds. Thanks!

They do say nuts are very good for you. I never heard that you shouldn't take them. Maybe because they contain a lot of energy? I always have in-shell peanuts, which you probably shouldn't take because your allergy Sad. If you do a lot of fitness training, nuts are even recommended. They contain a lot of good fats and vitamins.

The Detox Phase of the Fat Smash Diet is very low in fat. Nuts being high in fat, they would not not fit in. Phase 2 is higher in fat.

That's what i figured, eKatherine. It's not called Fat Smash for no reason. Biglaurens, thanks for the reply. I just miss my almonds,lol. They're good for keeping my blood sugar level too because i tend to drop quickly if i haven't eaten due to some weird circumstance.. such as being out on the road for too long. Another reason why Fat Smash is a good diet for me. Eat every 3 hours. Well.. i'll be looking forward to Phase 2 when i can get a few almonds back. Smile I'm on day 4 of Detox. It's getting easier. So i tell myself.
