I don't know about any of that, but here's what I do know...On Cinco de Mayo there were like 5 potlucks at my work place. Every dept. I walked through to get to my desk was having one. The path I had to take was by the tables for each one and the food smelled great!! It was only 3 days into my Phase I so as you can imagine, it was a testy situation. To top it off, the pot luck in my own dept. was conveniently located in front of my cube!! yeah, that's right...my cube!! Talk about temptation. I did very well though. I only had a small amount of beans with some lettuce and tomatoes. It was quite satisfying!! Look out temptation!! I'm stronger than you!!. Seriously though, if anyone can answer my opening question, I'd really like to know.

I know this because I went to a class on how to make flavors one time, and they use a tool to identify all the molecules in the headspace of whatever they wanted to match to come up with the flavor they were after.

But, I'm guessing the calories found in the molecules of the things you inhale are pretty negligible.

Did you gain weight after inhaling all that wonderful smelling food?
DISCLAIMER: I expect to lose this weight over the next 6 months to 5 years. I'm not going to feel like a failure if it takes an entire month to lose 1 pound. I'm going to feel like a success when that happens! I may offer advice that I'm currently not taking myself. Feel free to call me on that!

i remember a long time ago there was a local news report on a new diet where people had these little food smelling vials. supposedly it tricked their brain into thinking they ate the the foods so it would make them crave less...
