What is my size?

So I have lost, what 25 lbs, and I am only 5ft. So I went from 160 lbs being a size 16 and am now almost 125 lbs my goal weight. I am still wearing all my old clothes because I hate to shop so lots of belts being worn and I look like I raided someones closet, or I look like a working homeless gal...LOL
Help! How can I tell what size I am, aside from trying on clothes. I am the type that if I see it, think I like it, I take it and put it on at home. Dilemma....

Sorry to be blunt, but just go try it on already.Stop with the "I don't like to shop" crap. Shopping for skinny clothes is much more fun than fat clothes!! Many would love to be shopping for their goal weight clothes.

That's hard to say, because sizes vary at every store and with every retailer. Myself for example, sometimes I'm a 14, sometimes I'm a 16 and sometimes I'm an 18 - just depending on what store I'm at.

Really the only way to know what size you are is try on clothes. If you're worried about spending a lot of money, why not try going to a thrift store. Pick out some clothes that look like they might fit you and try them on. If you like them and want to buy them at least they're inexpensive. And if you don't like what you're trying on, well at least you'll be able to tell what size you are.

It really depends on your body composition AND how tall you are. But you wont know unless you go try it on....For instance you could be 5 "7", 127, not much tone (you know the average) and could fit in a size 4 or be 5 "1", 127 and be toned all over and wear 2...and THEN there's the whole brand thing...so yes stop at a store and try on a couple things....

You could take your measurements. Most online stores have a place where you can see the measurements of different sizes.

But I agree with everybody else- shopping for smaller clothes is really fun!

I loved buying new sizes I bought sizes while I was losing size 16,14,12,10,8 and now I am in a size 6 it really keeps you motivated.

You could bring your current clothing to a tailor shop and have it taken in. I did that with some of my favorite pieces from when I was heavy...I believe they can go down about 3 sizes but that's it. Anything more and the garment will not look right. A lot of people don't like trying on clothes in the store. It's a necessary evil though. Just make sure you go at a time when you aren't feeling rushed, and try to go at a time when the store isn't crowded. Go to a store where the sales people will help you by running around getting other sizes for you. If you tell them you lost a ton of weight, they will be happy to help you and give you a confidence boost saying how great you look!

Thank you everyone...I will go shopping this week. Anyone up for it? I just moved here from Phoenix to Oklahoma City so I have no shopping buddies...oh wait never had any, I hate to shop. LOL
I will try anything and everything I can. I will let you know the results and I have to say I am looking forward to a new pair of jeans!

ohhh I'm soo excited for you!! Please do report back and let us all know what you got!! I love the moment when the small size you hope will fit is actually too big and you gotta go one smaller!! I hope you get to experience that!! Lately.. all I've had the desire to buy is shoes and purses... you know, the fat girl last resort. I will be sooo happy when shopping becomes "fun" again!! : )

I have to agree with gardengranny, the Doc should be the one telling you if you are ok to continue or stop taking a medication. You could end up doing more harm than good.
