Thanksgiving in Moderation?

I say why wouldn't we have the foods we love on Thanksgiving? Isn't it much better to do it in moderation and be filled with joy. I'm going to use up my RDI on that day as I do about once a week anyways.

Have been trying to decide all week if I'm going to track & record Thursday. I know I'll get sick if I eat too much. My taste preferences have changed so much now and with mindful eating (slow really tasting and enjoying foods) I Should be satisfied without stuffing myself (although I am really craving 'stuffing' with giblet gravy).


I'm not losing WEIGHT. I'm converting FAT to MUSCLE to be healthier.

I totally agree with diabolo I'm not worrying about going over the calories , mostly when im full i stop eating . I'm going to get a good run in tomorrow morning and another one friday , eat light during the day , then I should be ok

We have a turkey run in the morning, too. I'm excited! I usually don't overeat, but there are some good cooks around for the holidays and this may be harder than I think.

Well, only eating about 800 calories yesterday paid off, I got to gorge and still remain in a deficit since I was able to place my calories from today on yesterday's total. 800+ calorie deficit on Turkey day. First time I can say that has ever happened and I feel great about it.

Starving self and gaining weight
