Tell me what all can be done to get the flax seed oil down . . . I'm still waiting for my book, so pardon my ignorance if this is well covered in the book.

So far, I've drank two tablespoons straight, thought I was going to toss it right back up. Yesterday I made a lemon/ACV/FSO dressing for salad, but that didn't seem to get it all into me, lots left on the plate.

Thanks for tips!

I had the same problem, and bought Flax Seed Meal instead and have been adding it to my oatmeal every morning. Perhaps this could be another option for you.

Good luck!

I'm not on the FFP but if you can have tuna or chicken or something... you could add it to that. My mom makes a tuna salad w/ the flax seed oil. I think you could pretty much add it to anything couldn't you? HUM... let me do some research, have you looked at the fatflush.com website?? It may have some idea info there.

Try the Flax seed oil capsules. They are easy to swallow and you don't taste the flax seed oil at all!

i drizzle it over eggs, and on my chicken. you also can put into smoothies.

Taste varies by company- so try a few brands. I am using barleans- has a nutty taste. Can get at vitamin shop

I use it in my protein shake and in a homemade balsamic dressing.... add some fresh herbs and you got it! Smile It is highly recommended that you only get flax seed oil that is cold pressed and kept cold for freshness or it will loose it's good properties. Barlenes and Spectrum are good brands, but if it's not kept in a cooler at your store, don't buy it! vitacost.com has them and they ship fairly quickly. Very Happy

I have my own personal, vacation weeks for sale in Mexico!! Feel free to email me for more info... $700 for 2adults, 2 children, 7 nights!! =D

If you are going to replace your daily Flaxseed oil requirement with ground flaxseed instead, it should not be flaxmeal (ground too finely!). 1 Tbsp FSO = 3 Tbsp ground flaxseed.
Replacing FSO with flaxseed oil capsules would require 18 daily (6 per meal) of the large 1000mg gelcaps. Expensive way to go, IMHO!
As others have pointed out, flaxseed oil taste varies GREATLY by manufacturer. My current fave is Omega (tastes buttery).

PS. FYI, oatmeal is a P3 food and not "legal" in early phases.

Thank you for the equivalents! How do you work FSO in?

Lose-B4-40 I found the best way for getting the flax oil down. Just after I finish my breakfast I pour a shot glass of flax oil while blocking my nose, then i immediately get my anti bacterial mouth wash and start gargling it. The anti bacterial mouth wash has a really strong flavour so I never taste the flax. Very Happy

I mix it in with my salad dressing. I also use the flaxseed meal in recipes for extra fiber. Like in protein shakes.

Love the food that loves you back.

Take it one day at a time!

This is a great time to make your own cranwater while they are in season. I get a bag of cranberries for 99 cents here so you are saving bundles; it is however, a little time consuming.
