Hoping some of you have some advice. I MUST drop my extra weight, but I have no much trouble with headaches. I'm beginning to think that I am allergic to nutrasweet AND splenda, because I get raging headaches every time. I've been completly off of caffine for three weeks now, but anytime I eat something with artificial sweetner, I get another headache.

I'm exercising 30 min daily (12 min mile walking on treadmill) but I'm really having trouble finding sugar free snack options that maybe have different artificial sweetners in them? I don't think I can survive on a no-sweet diet - fruit just isn't cutting it.

You could try the sweeteners: Stevia or Erythritol which are calorie free, or Xylitol which has half the calories of sugar.

Stevia is certainly my favorite non-sugar sweetener. It doesn't have any artificial additives and tastes great in tea. I don't consume aspartame or sucralose in any quantities, though kicking my addiction to them has been rough. Stevia can be found at Trader Joe's and, I believe, Whole Foods (and other specialty stores).

If you're having trouble cutting sweets entirely and if your diet allows some, limit yourself to one per day and just keep it within your calorie budget (a small brownie, 100 to 200 calories of cookies, a single doughnut, etc). Unfortunately we're now a bit late into the best season for fruit, so you can't get the really good stuff.

Rewarding yourself
As often as you want. Just be sure to enter the reward in your food diary. Then stay under your RDI. A hand full of candy or nuts can equal a good sandwich. Eat the candy bar, lose a sandwich for lunch. ...

This is a great time to make your own cranwater while they are in season. I get a bag of cranberries for 99 cents here so you are saving bundles; it is however, a little time consuming.
