Thank you Nimm for another good answer. The time you take to respond informatively to my posts and questions is greatly appreciated. I'm really very interested in how this all really works, esp as I continue to figure out what my own body may be doing that doesn't follow the cliched generalities for reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. On a side note I actually laughed (good naturedly) at one of my (much lighter) buddies here last night when noting I currently use more energy/cals a day sleeping than she did exercising an hour Smile Ahh, we have to find the silver lining now and then, don't we?


I'm not losing WEIGHT. I'm converting FAT to MUSCLE to be healthier.

Agreed.

I just read the question as 'What is it that compels me to eat exactly x number of calories to always go back up to the exact same weight?'

It's a good question and one I find fascinating. I don't think there is one single answer to it.
