So for the past 5 or 6 months I've been trying to eat healthier and exercise more, I'ma lways finding excuses to not do it or binging on really unhealthy foods. I've had enough, I am sick of not being happy with my body so I'm changing it and I'm sticking to it this time!

Would love some support, friends on here to share my journey with.

good for you for deciding to do something about the way you feel about yourself. Keep in mind when you are headed for a binge, that it is not going to bring you any closer to your goal. It's going to make you feel so much worse. By resisting the urge to binge, you will empower yourself which will make you feel SO GOOD and SO IN CONTROL, that it will make you stronger in the future. You will remmeber how great that felt and you will want to feel that way again. sometimes we have to sacrifice what we want at the moment for what we want the most. When you are about to binge, GET OUT OF THE HOUSE, STAY OUT OF THE KITCHEN. That will be a great time to set your mind to exercising instead of mindless eating. Conquer your urge to eat, and you have conquered human nature! It can be done, but it takes hard work, dedication and determination. And since we are "only" human after all, we make mistakes. So it also takes practice, practice, practice, and learning by trial and... ughh!- error. If I may suggest, draw a pic of yourself (even if you cant draw) of how you would like to look and hang it on the bathroom mirror or someplace where you will see it several times a day, along with any other pics or motivational quotes that will constantly remind and inspire you what you are working so hard for. Trust me, it really works. Visualizing your goal in your head as often as possible will make it become a reality eventually. Your actions will follow your thoughts, whatever they may be. You will find a wealth of support on this site. Best wishes!

When you binge, is it emotional or diet or physiological? If there is a next time, write down what's been going on the few days before in your life and in your diet. Also make a note of the date on the calendar. Figuring out if there is a trigger also helps eliminate binges.
I know if I eat too low carb in my diet for a few days it can trigger a binge. If I have bad relationship or work issues it can trigger a binge. And there are two times during the month when I am more suseptable. I've learned from a lot from examining the triggers and dealing with them. I balance my carbs a little better and I take evening primrose to help with PMS and cycle issues. The emotional binges are more difficult to avoid but I'm working on it.

And I'm the queen of motivational quotes that help me remind myself. For binges:
You never regret what you don't eat.

Good luck and let me know if I can help.
