I had the same problem, and bought Flax Seed Meal instead and have been adding it to my oatmeal every morning. Perhaps this could be another option for you.
If you are going to replace your daily Flaxseed oil requirement with ground flaxseed instead, it should not be flaxmeal (ground too finely!). 1 Tbsp FSO = 3 Tbsp ground flaxseed.
Replacing FSO with flaxseed oil capsules would require 18 daily (6 per meal) of the large 1000mg gelcaps. Expensive way to go, IMHO!
As others have pointed out, flaxseed oil taste varies GREATLY by manufacturer. My current fave is Omega (tastes buttery).
PS. FYI, oatmeal is a P3 food and not "legal" in early phases.
