End the USDA

I agree. I have said this before. The food pyramid needs a serious overhaul.
The United Stated Department of Agriculture = scum bags. They care about the commodities market and the almighty dollar more than the health of the population especially children. In fact there is so much of a surplus of garbage carbs like bleached white flour and sugar made from corn it is sold at a discount and used to produce very cheap processed food your children are fed in school.

In the days I was in school before I was old enough to make my own lunch, my mother packed all the lunches for myself and my siblings. They were healthy. I don't know why parents let their children eat the crap the school feeds them. Perhaps preparing healthy meals takes too much effort on the part of the kitchen staff. Time is money and healthy food cost a little more. I'm guessing it all comes down to money. Saving money seems to be more important than slowly killing children. There is no doubt child hood obesity is extremely high and the rate of diabetes is sky rocketing. Even though this is very well known, no one seems to care. I don't get it. Overweight children usually end up being obese adults. It is known plaque starts to form in the arteries at about the age of 8-10. Seriously overweight children at this age have a very good chance of developing heart disease in their mid thirties, never mind diabetes and fatty liver disease among other weight related illness. Things have to change now. The future is not looking good right now.
I wish President Obama would listen to his wife and get something done about the state of health of children. She is doing a nice job of trying to get the message across to parents. Someone needs to actually listen and do something about it.
