I've been busy recently and didn't exercise or eat like I usually do (thin mints are my weakness) but instead of giving up and feeling guilty, I'm going to pick myself up, dust myself off and continue with my goal. Why focus on the negative (gained 2lbs) when the positive is so much better (loss 6lbs.).After all, I making a life style change, and in life stuff happens. Hey FS crew how do you keep yourself motivated?

I just keep thinking ahead to how great it feels to be a normal healthy weight. You already have the right attitude, so keep living forward. A new day, a new meal, a new beginning. Smile

I also fell off this week as my daughter just turned 3 and that will only happen once. As you said life happens. I love you glass is half full attitude. It is very refreshing.

I fell off the wagon the other day because my Father invited me over and made a loaded pizza, I limited my self to 2 slices and 1 can of coke, but I think after I counted everything he put on it, that I had my daily value in 2 slices and 1 can of coke, even after my breakfast of a turkey bacon egg white muffin from star bucks. Back on I went though about 1 week on this diet now!

Are you sure about that calculation, Chibimeow? I have yet to come across 2 slices of pizza (even with the Coke) that come anywhere near a full days of calories.... Of course, I've never met your father's pizza either. Lol. I wouldn't worry yourself over it now anyhow. It's in the past (good or bad), and you get another day of opportunities.

Something that has helped me (and I had previously lost 106 lbs), is to remember that if I just feed the inner thin person inside me, the rest will melt off. We are heavy because our consumption goes beyond that healthy thinner person mark. So, if the thinner you could have eaten those 2 slices with the Coke and maintained weight that day, then you can eat the same thing and still lose weight. I am not saying whether or not your meal at your Dad's was the correct amount of food (you'd know that much better than me), I'm only using your scenario to explain my experience with food consumption. I hope this helps you like it did me.

I might have been wrong, with the calculations, I didn't use the MFS food finder I used the calories on the back of the packages and added them up and I think I probably did too much calculations, I was feeling really depressed that I might have fallen off my diet.
