Hi!
Have been sticking to this great ap on my android phone since Tuesday and have had well below the 2000kcal mark. No weight has come off.... I am confused.
Does it take a while.
Please help.

Yes, losing weight takes awhile. In the first week or two, any weight that comes off is probably going to be mostly water weight. Remember 3,500 calories = 1 pound so having a calorie deficit (that's the amount of calories you burn minus the calories you eat) of 500-1000 calories per day will translate to 1-2 pounds per week. That is a healthy rate of weight loss. Any faster and you are more likely to gain it back.
Instead of focusing on the number on the scale, I would suggest focusing on making new habits such as eating more vegetables, drinking more water, tracking all your food here on fat secret, and getting in more exercise (either structured or just something simple like walking for 20-30 minutes everyday). If you make these habits permanent, the weight will come off. Many people also find it helpful to only weight once a week as you are probably not going to see much change over the course of just 2 or 3 days.
It looks like you are off to a fantastic start so keep it up! Remember it's a marathon not a sprint.

you might want to re-evaluate the number of calories you should be eating per day for weight loss. If it's not low enough, obviously, the weight won't come off like you are expecting.
There are websites that help you customize the daily calories for weight loss. They account for your current and goal weight, gender, age, height, and activity level. They will even give you an expected date for reaching your goal weight. Here is a link to one of those websites:
