I weigh myself everyday in the morning in bra & panties only. I am an everyday weigher because it has encouraged, motivated & holds me accountable for what I am eating. This way I can see how to adjust what I am eating the next day. If I, personally, only weighed in once a week I would freak out....lol...I like knowing if I am losing, gaining or holding steady. I get excited or happy with the smallest of everyday weight loss. And if I were to overeat and the scale tilts upward, I know the next day to cut back on my intake. There have been times I didn't realize I had eaten too much but the scale always let s me know. I have lost 60.7 lbs & I don't ever want to go back where I was. So for me, weighing in everyday is just second nature, I weigh in before I do anything else.

what about scales. I have a weight watchers scale and i can get on it once and it says one thing and immediately get on it again and it can vary up to 5 lbs. I at least want a scale that says the same thing if i get on it within a few seconds.

Many domestic scales don't go up to my weight!

For now i'm concentrating on inch loss.

The principle here being lost inches = lost weight. At which point i'll take a weigh in. I will occasionally step on the scales at the gym.

I weigh in using my Wii. Your weight can & will fluctuate within 2 pounds....most scales don't usually weigh in the exact same weigh within a few seconds. I know that can be frustrating. I weigh in & keep the matching weights....example 1st weigh maybe 107.6, 2nd-107.9, 3rd-107.6, 4th-107.6....so I record 107.6....sometimes it can be the way we stand & move that makes the slight differences. Goodluck & hope that helps.

I've stopped weighing and switched to the tape measure. I do this about once a week. This has been a ton better for me psychologically. It keeps me focused on real changes in body composition.

I know the scale is traditionally preferred by most, but if you find yourself feeling a bit nutty because you can't tell whether it's water, fat, or muscle than measuring may be the way to go.

I weigh myself once a week. Every Monday because the weekends can be tough for me. So if I have gained a pound or 2 I know I have to be more stricked on the weekends.

I weigh myself once a month! Who care's about the numbers on the scales... The mirror should be your best friend in this instance.

I weigh everyday and write it down. I need this confirmation to make me stick to WW diet. My husband is a bodybuilder and has the perfect body. He gets very upset with me weighing in everyday. He said thats crazy. He said I should go by the way my clothes are fitting. I think he is absolutely right but I feel I will cheat if I don't know my weight everyday.

I weigh in once a week, first thing in the morning. Once you eat or drink, you have added 2-3 lbs. I also don't weigh the day after I have eaten a lot of salty foods. When you eat a lot of salt, you retain water. So, I make sure I control my sodium intake the next day and weigh in the day after. I also prefer the tape measure though, since gaining muscle will eventually make you look like you gain weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. Also, if you are working out really hard and tearing your muscles down well, you may gain water weight at first due to rebuilding and swelling.

I weigh every morning after doing my 'things'. Haha! Lot of people says that, weighing yourself everyday is not good. But for me, it's really important! It keeps me form watching to what I ate and encourage me to be more discipline. And you know what, those really help me a lot in my diet program. Smile

I weigh in everyday and it is quite discouraging. So I am opting to start weighing once a week. The scale has not budged in 1 week almost kicked it to the curb this morning. LOL

I weigh in when I go to the doctor once a week. This week I didn't make it, but I know my last week's weight, so I'm just going to stick with it. I also like to weigh in whenever I am at a place with a scale. I'm very curious about how I'm doing, so I do what I can.

Nothing is wrong with weighing in daily. I was a daily weigher until I got frustrated with the scale. The first year of weight loss was much easier and I lost every week. Then it slowed and I decided to only weigh in weekly. Now I'm struggling with the final 10-20 lbs and I have decided to go back to daily weighing. I found that I was allowing extra bites and tastes and I am hoping that weighing in daily will help reduce that. I know that I will have fluid fluctuations and normal fluctuations, but this is my plan. It also helps me stay focused and on track. I also think it will help me with maintenance so that I will never let my weight get out of control. It helps motivate me which is important when trying to maintain and not gain the weight back. That's my current view - my views on this change over time and it is important to change your ways when you need to and to not stay in the same mentality all the time - you have to change as life changes. If something works, good, if it's not working then address it. There is no right or wrong answer here.

I'm not sure who started the urban legend that it's wrong to weigh every day. It's more of a personal choice. Smile

Those who don't like bad news might not like to see what they weigh daily. I'm of the opinion that I can't do better if I don't know where I'm at weight wise. I weigh daily but track my weight loss over time. I really don't even care what I weigh daily because it fluctuates as my week does. What I do care about is that I'm meeting my weekly goals for weight loss. If I only weight once a week it's true I'd only be disappointed once a week but I wouldn't lose any weight either.

It's easy to track it online using a wifi scale to capture my weight and then I track it over time. If you were visiting a doctor daily the would do the same thing. That can't recommend changes to you unless they had data to base their decisions on.

Over the last year I lost 45lbs (met my goals) and it was really easy for me. I didn't sweat it over the daily weight, just the pattern of was I losing or gaining weight over that week.

About once a day, in the morning. I like the idea of weekly though. I used to do that...should go back to it.

Let's say you were uncoordinated, would Insanity be hard to follow? I have the hardest times learning new routines, I end up sitting down and watching but still not getting it.
