Very Happy Yes - I am a nerd and asking for some kudos... but, most my friends and family aren't big supporters of me dieting, so I can't get that pat on the back I want from them, and most my friends are jealous of this... so they are no fun... BUT .. officially as of today's weigh in, I have lost 30 lbs since I started my diet!! I am SO happy! I have only 20 more to go to get down to my pre-twins weight, and better yet, pre-twin wardrobe!

Thats Huge, way to go!

You say you want a cheeseburger but all I hear is "I need love" - a comic strip on the fridge at work.

You have failed only when you quit trying. Until then, you're still in the act of progression. So, never quit trying and you'll never be a failure.

30 lbs is a LOT of weight and shows tons of hard work and discipline on your part. Well done!

Thanks everyone! Re-reading this today I feel kinda silly bragging and asking for kudos.. but damn! 30 lbs IS alot of weight!!! My twinskies each weigh about 23 lbs, so its like losing more than one of them! Gross when I think about it! I had twins and 17 months later popped out another baby, so I was pretty much pregnant and post pardem for 2 years straight! I use that as my excuse, not that I ate whatever I felt like while I was... but those days are over now and I am much happier when I am healthier!!!

I think that's not so much an excuse as a reality of women's biology/physiology when they get pregnant and have kids. Unless you are one of those women who are just naturally/genetically thin and struggle to put on weight. But you are right that those days of reproducing are done (unless you aren't, lol) and so now's the time to get things back together. Which you seem to be doing so congrats again.

I'd brag too! LoL Good for you and I totally understand the lack of support. My family has a completely distorted view of weight and whats healthy and whats not. My mom is great about it but the rest...eh...we don't talk about it! And its too soon to tell about some friends...lol...I'm concerned once I reach bout 145-150 there might be, but its my body not theirs! Congratulations to ya and keep up the hard work!

Hi five and a happy booty dance (_/_)(_|_)(_\_)(_|_)(_/_). I copied that from someone else, and I would love it if I got one of those once I drop 30.

30 pounds is awesome ndmommyof4. I'm jealous of you in a motivational way Wink

Congrats!!! 30 pounds is definitely a HUGE accomplishment - buy yourself something nice!! Or massage, or something! Anything for enjoyment. I understand about family and friends- they're hard to convince sometimes but at lesat you are doing it even without their support and encouragement. Congrats!

Way to go ndmommyof4 ! 30 pounds is a huge accomplishment. I can relate to NO support from family and friends. So we do this for ourselves !! Big hug, and pat on the back !!

You're not alone. I've lost 16 lbs and I feel it's a huge difference. Only two people have said anything- one being my husband who knows I'm working to exercise more and not be such a pig. Even his sorry butt couldn't give me a compliment. It was, "You were starting to get a little big around the middle for awhile there, but it's getting smaller. Even your thighs aren't fat anymore." Seriously, that's his best effort?

Finally I posted I was down 15 lbs on FB and people who had no idea what I currently look like posted their kudos and I felt great.

Way to GO!!! That is a huge accomplishment and you should feel very proud of yourself!!! Don't pay attention to others, you just do what you gotta do and let them stew in their own jealousy!!!

This is very impressive. Keep up the good work, and you will definitely reach your goal.
Don't worry about your friends - you are accomplishing something that many people would like to do, but they just don't have the motivation. If they are true friends, they'll come around. They might even (one by one) come ask for advice. Smile
