What is a "reasonable" goal?

I redid my signature and set myself some goals.
Is 42kg/93lbs over a year completely insane or unhealthy?
I actually don't know if I will get to that point as I'm quite muscly once I start going to the gym (and I'm a "well built" lass as it is, naturally tall and broad of hip etc)
If it is dangerous/bonkers, does anyone have a good suggestion on what sort of time frame to look at? I tend to lose about 1kg/2.2lbs per week without much trying but I don't know how long that will last.
Any help is gratefully received
Starting weight (27.02.13) : 116.8kg/258lbs
1st Goal Weight (19.06.13) : 100kg/220lbs
2nd Goal Weight (30.10.13) : 85kg/187lbs
Final Goal Weight (26.02.14) : 75kg/165lbs
Current Weight (13.03.13) : 114.1kg/252lbs
Total left to lose: 39.1kg/87lbs

To reach that you will need to create a deficit of just under 900cal a day.
I don't see that it would be dangerous but will obviously depend on your current intake.

One pound a week is kind of a realistic ballpark. You can certainly do better, especially if you have a lot to lose initially, but I think it's better to set a sane goal and overachieve than to set a massively ambitious goal and not make it.

According to my Diet Calendar I'm averaging a loss of around 2300 kcals a day. Of course, it could all be lies, but you never know!

It's definitely not healthy to starve your body like that. It's not sustainable.

If your deficit were that high you would be averaging a lot higher than 1kg a week...
So I'm guessing you are using fatsecret's exercise calculator. Be warned it's a lot higher than pretty much anything else I've seen (by about 40-50% in my case)

If I'm hungry, I eat. Got that one from when I did the Atkins diet. Just no carbs/sugars seems to cut down kcals a lot.
That'd probably be it, Riocaz. I'm consuming around 1200kcals a day but again that varies based on day (whether or not I'm at home, etc) and if it's a case of I'm not losing weight due to excess exercise with lack of calories, I'll up it as needed.

You should not go on low cal diet as it will take you to low energy and you can't do workouts to loose weight. So you have to increase your morning carb. intake. So you have energy all day and it is consumed by end of the day.

That's not even close to true. I don't do that. Professional body builders don't do that. Protein works better than carbs.
Your goals are realistic. Now you need to set shorter term goals. For example. Give yourself a minimum goal of one pound a week but shoot for 2 pounds. Once you have dropped that 2 pounds in a week give yourself a reward. I'm using 5 pound drops to have a beer.

I have what is probably best described as a sugar addiction. Only sugar and carbs I allow myself now are fruit and veg; if I don't, I gain weight as opposed to shedding it, regardless of exercise.
My brother (a former PTI for the TA) pushes protein and lack of processed carbs. So I have fruit for breakfast and it seems to do me fine.

Being in a caloric defecit of around 500-1000 is perfectly fine for a healthy person(you can go lower as well just listen to your body). Fat loss is much easier when someone is at a higher bodyfat %. The lower your bodyfat % goes the harder it will be to lose weight and will make fat loss slower because your body will fight back. Don't worry about losing too much weight. You will know what a good weight is once you are lean (10-15% bodyfat).

When I started my weight loss journey, I set a goal of 45 kgs (100lbs) the first year. On the one year anniversary for my journey, I had lost 65 kilos! When we're doing good and doing right, we can accomplish amazing things.
That being said, these days I'm struggling losing a mere 10 kilos.

I started my weight loss journey on October 4th, 2010 - and this is what I have accomplished so far:

I third that motion, Kindkeld. The last few are the hardest by far. It makes logical sense, but that doesn't make it feel any better. I wish the last 10 came off like the first ten!!

Thanks for the help, guys and gals
Really appreciate it all
Started the gym proper today too, so might be my target weight is "harder" to reach, due to more muscle - but that's not a bad thing as long as I'm a toned chubbette
