Is there anyone doing L A Weight Loss who has found a substitue for their bars that you are suppose to eat 2 times a day. I think they taste find but I refuse to pay the price they charge for the bars. I am certain someone has found a substitue and just wondering if anyone on this site might have one. I have done LA before and I used South Beach breakfast bars--not the snack bars. They were pretty close in cals, fat, and protein.

I was on the plan and lost 30lbs I have gained it back. I am going to purchase the Take off again but I am unsure of what you are to eat. If I remember is it green vegetables,water and meat? If you know or remember could you let me know. I also noticed you mentioned Luna bars is that a substitute for the LA
Lites? Any info you have will be helpful.

You must have "unlimited amounts" of the following meats, poultry, fish.
Beef (chuck roast, flank steak, filet mignon, ground meat, rump roast, sirloin, t-bone)
Chicken/Turkey
Fish
Lamb
Liver
Shellfish - Fresh (clams, crab, lobster, mussels, oysters, shrimp)
Veal
Vegetable Choices, Unlimited
Use Fresh or raw
Asparagus, broccoli, celery, cucumbers, endive, escarole, green cabbage, green onions, green peppers, lettuce, romaine lettuce, zucchini

I think there are 2 different take off's. The regular take off, which you do when you first start is the one with unlimited meats and green veggies and the take off juice. Then in our book there is the take off 2 which is probably one you do once you've already started the program. It's a little different, you can only have 6 oz of protein but unlimited green veggies.

As for the LA Lite bars, I buy mine on Ebay. I just got 24 boxes of 7 for $100 plus shipping.. They have great deals on all products. Hope this helps
