I found out a few months ago that there's a natural whole food company called... R.W.Knudsen...they make 100% juices... no sugar added... they have one called Morning Blend... it looks like, tastes like and the ingredients are practically identical to the LA Weight Loss Take Off Juice. I've done it several times... and it works just like the LAWL juice!!! And the great thing about it is.... it's cheaper!!! Average price... $2.83-$3.79 per bottle (compared to $20-25 @ center)... you don't have to reconstitute it either. I've seen it at Whole Foods, Giant Food Stores and Genaurdi's.... just check your local grocery stores in the natural/organic area to see if they have it. I've tried a different kind of juice from that company for take-off... it had a mango taste.... delicious!!! Give it a try... you have nothing to lose but the pounds!!!

Thanks for the tip! I live around the corner from Whole Foods & will look for this. Can you please tell me how much/how often I should have this? I've only been back on the diet for 2 days & I'm already craving something sweet. This just might be itVery Happy

LAWL says you can do it every 2 weeks. It's for 2 days... and there's 2 different ways you can do it... #1) Limited to 6oz protein for the day!! (they told me I could do 8oz because I had more weight to lose). You can do chicken, beef, egg whites...just break it up into 2-3oz per serving (it sucks..because I always felt hungry!!) in between meals you do your LA lites (or I substitute with Special K or Luna bars). And you're supposed to drink the "Take Off" Juice. LAWL's juice has to be reconstituted... but you drink 32oz in one day.. and 32oz they next...plus ALL of your water requirements!!! Oh, and you're allowed some green veggies with protein...like 1/2 cup cooked broccoli...or 3 ribs of celery. It does suck...but they say it can keep you on track. And the juice works like a diuretic...so you lose a few water-weight pounds.
#2--this one I've never did...but I should try it. Unlimited protein...not sure if you're allowed green veggies or not.... but definitely NO LA LITES or substituted protein bars. But you do the juice and your water requirements.
Good Luck!
This website is great for keeping you motivated!!!

In regards to Tisharn's response to the 2-day Take-off. I've never done #1-it does sound like it sucks-I'd be hungry, too. I just did the 2-day Take-off w/oranges- 3 a day (next time I will use the Knudsen's juice!)You're supposed to drink 32 oz of the Take-off or Knudsen's plus unlimited protein (beef, fish, chicken, eggs(2). Watch pork-i don't think it's allowed because of salt content. And unlimited raw or steamed GREEN veggies, plus LITE salad dressing. You can cook in butter or oil, also. I love this plan because you can eat whenever you feel hungry, plus because there's no carbs involved ( no bars these 2 days)you actually eat less! I did this Mon and Tues. and lost 5 lbs. Mind you, I pigged out the night before and I have a lot to lose! Oh- no dairy, either. That part stinks because I love ff creamer in my coffee. But for 2 days I grin and bear it! Good luck!!

Thanks for the info on the other way you can do the Take Off for 2 days... I'm gonna try that way next time. I've done it with pork before...no wonder I would only lose a pound or two with the Take Off.
Thanks for the tips!

Do they recommend doing this at a certain week? I know I'm supposed to do 2 "Express Days" Mon & Tues weeks 3-8 (mandatory) then it's optional after that.

I think I'm going to hold off on doing this one after week 8. Or if I need a jump-start down the line.

I always try to do Take Off on Monday/Tuesday just simply because I like to detox after the weekend which is usually the worst days for me. I don't know if they officially recommend any certain days. I did it one time over the weekend but found it too difficult to fit in with my schedule and being home and cooking for everyone every meal.

Thank you sooo much for suggesting the RW Knudsen Morning Blend juice. I actually remember hearing about that back when I originally had joined LAWL in 2006. It's been awhile but I'm getting back on track and wanting to start it again tomorrow. This time I'm doing it myself, and just applying all that I learned while doing LAWL. Which I'm thankful for but it's really too much $ for me to be spending nowadays. Especially since the original one I belonged to was one of the one's that went out of business without telling its' customers, etc.

I gained all my weight from medications. I did the LA weight loss program about 5 years ago and it worked great. I am now going to try and go it alone since I can't afford the fees and supplies anymore. I have purchased the Luna bars ...........I couldn't find the juice you recommended but I did find a organic blue berry acai juice. Will that do the same thing as what was recommended? I also have lupus so I'm really trying to get the weight off because of the pain on my joints. Any suggestions would be great

I did LAWL about 8 years ago and it worked for all of the 2 months I was on it, but I did gain it all back and then some after I stopped doing it, I didn't like that you had to purchase their food in order to be on the diet, they were very expensive. I'm trying to diet again using all the info I had when I was on it, but I haven't been able to find the 2 day jump start diet plan, does anyone have an acurate one, becuase I keep hearing different ones. I remember when i was on it I could eat unlimited protien and veggies, along with the take off juice, but I don't remember how to break down the take off juice or what else I was allowed to eat. Please help.

I've never done it with cantaloupe but I've done it with Oranges and it worked. I would just have half a large orange 4 times a day, with each meal.

I noted that many of you have suggested Luna Bars or the Special K bars. Is there a particular one that you recommend?

Sugar less fresh fruts juices are the best drinks to lose the weight and control the cholesterol level.
Citrus fruits juices such as orange, grapefruit, lemon juices and apple juice are mostly recommended for the weight loss and fitness improvement.
