So stuck in your ways about what you eat? Love that pizza or that
arroz con pollo
? Instead of starving yourself of what you love or so used to eating, eat those foods you love in moderation by either having smaller portions of it or eating them once a week, or so. It's dang-near impossible for a woman to deny chocolate (unless she's a allergic to it), so I found to satisfy that craving, I'd have one of those FiberOne brownies -- they're only 90 calories! If I want to have a chocolatey snack, I try to find one that's 100-150 calories, depending on the time of day. If it's late, then no more than 125. If the snack is under 100, great
!
Another idea, I try not to have too much fruit in one day. Yeah, it's good for you, but fruit also contains a lot of sugar, that natural sugar called "fructose". Since I work a desk job, I try to keep my portions of anything small, because I'm not moving around as much, and I also have a bottle of water next to me, too. Sometimes, I try to get a Vitamin Water and then just refill it with regular water (so I don't get up 100 times to refill my little 6oz cup lol). Yeah, I'm getting up more often to pee, but I know that's more weight just coming out little by little.
Weight loss is something that should be done in moderation, not like "lose 30 in a week", or something like that.
As for me, I love a lot of comfort foods -- both American and Latin American. So, I'm doing the portion-control thing. If I go to a restaurant, and I know I'm going to get a big portion, then I either split it with someone that I'm with at the time (that saves money, too
), or just eat half and bring the rest home for someone else or have it the next day.
But all in all, my God is one my side to help me lose the weight and keep healthy the body He gave me
because it's the temple of the Holy Spirit and it's the only one I'm gonna get
