I also lost 8 lbs this week, but it was the same weight that I gained over the holidays. Hoping to continue the trend, and possibly lose another 5 next week.
The weather's been nice here, so I did a lot of walking last week, in addition to being faithful to plan, journaling, drinking all the water, etc.
Have faith in yourself - don't give up - keep trying. All of those platitudes can help if you take them seriously. Or you can be cynical, like I was for a long time. Just keep at it, and try, try, try.
Losing weight is a thing that you can accomplish by NOT doing something.
