What I wrote is correct, the only assumption that is making is that you have a slow metabolism.. It's a baseline to know the minimum amount of calories your body needs daily..this is important because if you go below that baseline you risk setting off a catabolic state and the first thing to go will be your hard earned muscle if you are weight training at all which you should be doing if u want to transform your body instead of worrying about the scale number..which will in turn only go down because your body thinks its starving so it holds the fat and then burns the muscle instead.

You know what, do 2400 for a week and then cut back to 2000 and stay with that. I don't think eating fewer calories than is advisable. I know you want fast results and so you want a bigger calorie deficit but cutting back too much on your calories will make your body want to store fat because it thinks you're going into starvation mode. Plus it might be all to easy to gain back that weight. Find a nice low carb diet that's easy to follow and 2000 won't seem like too much (especially if you like snacking)

It is difficult when you're a stay at home mom-I'm one as well, and my son goes to an online charter school. Your day can just fly by sometimes, can't it? Good for you for taking this step now before you start having health problems because of it! As others have said I would not advise going too low, you didn't get here overnight and you won't get "there" overnight either. Be nice to yourself, weight loss is not a punishment, it's a gift you give to yourself because you appreciate your value-and you ARE valuable, to your kids, to your spouse, to your family and to the world for raising kids with a mom at home so you can make sure they grow up to be kind, courteous, contributing members of society.
