What ever happened to the Gitano Jeans brand? (OK I am dating myself with Gitano) Now that I have lost weight I have to find a new Brand that a short Hippie woman (a woman with real hips) can fit into. Any suggestions? I find it hard to find jeans that are not just for slender women. I have 12 pairs of jeans and dress slacks heading to the donation box and need to replenish my wardrobe with a pair or 2.

Try Ann Taylor Loft! They have jeans with different fits and the "Julie" fit works great for me. I have alwyas had problems finding jeans that fit right (even when I am at my ideal weight) because I have a small waist and my hips are curvy. Right now I have a 24 in. waist and 36 in. hips and the size 6 Julie fit is perfect for me!

Ann Taylor Stores also have a curvy fit Jean!!! It's awesome! Just keep in mind you need to buy them a little tight because they stretch as you wear them. I own 3 pair!

weigh in
Good luck! I weigh in every day which has to stop. It is too easy to get caught up in the excitement of seeing the scale drop so much in a week-that is because of water weight I am sure.

Need suggestions on healthy/low-calorie foods.
You can use shakes for a few days. I have used the Atkins shakes and they are very good tasting. Soups are good though as stated above you may have to puree them. You could puree or blend cottage cheese ...
