what are the new potatos?

New potatoes are those little red ones, usually in with all the produce along the side, not near the regular potatoes, for some weird reason. I'll try and include a link to a page w/ pictures! On second thought it may be easier if you just do a google search for "new potatoes" and then click images, bunches pop up!

Yes....I've worked in a grocery store for 5 years (blahhh) but normally they do say "new potatoes" right on the tag where the price is....they are just the new crop of potatoes...the older a potatoe is the higher the level of starch there is in it. If you can't seem to find them at your local grocery store ask someone who works in the produce department. They may have the new potatoes and they just aren't labelled properly. Hope this helps!!!
