i followed the 2002 Atkins and I followed it pretty closely.
In that program there is a ladder to climb so to speak with different rungs of carb foods. You add one food grooup at a time starting with the most low glycemic and moving upwards,
The ladder goes like ths
induction
more non starchy veggies
dairy
nuts
berries
alcohol
lentils
fruits
starchy veggies
grains

The idea is to slowly increase the amount of foods - in 5 carb increments while trying out foods to see if they agree with us
We should find out how many carbs we can eat and still lose weight

I think for many that number will not be super high

Anyways i took my time with this and had fun trying out a lot of things
I have tried almost all the veggies on the list of allowed veggies.
I tried many differnt dairy products
Nut and seeds were fun. There is so many things to do with them like in drinks or in baking
Most of my foods are still from the first four rungs - I do not often eat from the upper four rungs,

Anyways that was my experience. I had a lot of fun with OWL
