There are alot of recipes on here that are good for alot of different diets. Phase one and those terms are from other diets. Dont worry about those terms. As long as the recipe fits the GI diet then your all good.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions Wink

Flex Plan is part of Weight Watchers. I'm not sure but now that I'm on the GI diet, I think it follows GI principles.

Phase One is from Rick Gallop's version of the GI diet. Not only does he promote eating low GI foods, but also those low in saturated fats. Food is green, yellow or red light and in Phase One (the weight loss phase), you should only eat green light food. Not as restrictive as it sounds.

I've been on this diet for a week and a half now and feel so much better now that I'm not eating refined carbs. I slid off the diet on the weekend with a couple G&T's and dessert and actually felt terrible and wanted to get back on it. Sorry, I'm in the beginning "evangelical" stage of this diet Smile

For a beginner I advise you to pick up one of Rick Gallops books...they are all good and whichever one you read will give you a much better concept of what the diet is that your starting. They also come with lots of recipe ideas to get you started off....I have about 4 different books by Rick Gallop and with each one I read I like the diet more and more! If you need any other helpful hints or foods that are "Green" when you have a craving for chocolate or something just send me a message! Would be happy to help you!

Yes, Rick Gallops book is very helpful. How many books does he have?

Well I have 4 of his books (Living the G.I., the Family G.I., his cookbook, and the little pocket shopping guide) and I've seen at least 1 or 2 others from him...lots of options! Smile

I think the one I have is just called The GI Diet. But it sounds like I need to make a trip to Chapters. I love this diet and more info and recipes would be great! Thanks! Very Happy
