Noticed I don't eat enough protein as often as I do carbs. Tweaking the food choices for breakfast and lunch.

What you're calling ideal is the governments 2,000 calorie a day diet that contains 300g of carbs. I doubt you'll find many people who believe that 300g is ideal.
If you're trying to lose weight and burn fat I believe you have to cut the carbs at least in half. That saves you 600 calories and then you could eat more protein if you need more calories than 1400.
Right now I do not exceed 100g of net carbs a day. Once I reach my goal weight I can raise that to 150g.
Pain is a by-product of a good time.
