I have a quick question for all of you. Do you follow the RDI posted through the site since it's calculated for you? or are you following the 1500-1800 calories that Atkins states?
Thanks all!

I follow Dr atkins
He said to choose correct foods, count carbs and let the rest follow on its own
that has been my method

I changed my RDI to 1500 a while back, but sticking to that is not a challenge in fact I always end up being well below that. A lot that is low carb is naturally low calorie also.

I changed my RDI to 1400 this morning from the 1600 FS had calculated. I changed it because I rarely go over 1400. I only started Atkins in lated November so I am by no means an expert, but I am in agreement with liv001. The only time the calories come in to play is when you stall, then Atkins recommends taking a look at how much fat or protein you've been taking in.

I am on a 1530 calorie diet, within the range of the Atkins recommendations. I am usually 100-200 calories shy of that every day, though. I love the Atkins diet.

How do you change your RDI? It says I should eat well over 3000 calories and that's NOT happening!

Agreed AquaSurf00! Mine says 2500 and I no way eat that much in a day. I average around 1800 a day.

I finally figured out how to change mine and I gladly did! Now it's set for 1700. I usually don't get that high but it beats the 3100 they suggested! lol
