Jillians "shred"

Hi, Need some help. I'm getting Jillians "shred" today and I see that there are two. The 30 day shred and the extreme shred. All I've been doing is walking. At the most 8 miles a day and the least, a mile a day. Which should I get? Are there any groups that are just getting started on this? I'd like the accountability and support.

I got my copy of 30 Day Shred last night, and just finished my first workout before logging on here. I am still trying to get my heart rate down and catch my breath. I think I am a fairly fit person, and the 30 Day Shred kicked my butt in only 25 minutes. I really enjoyed it! I'd say go for this one. My guess is the Extreme Shred will be too much of a challenge. My plan is to master the easier one first, then move up.

I got the 30 Day Shred based on other FS'ers raves and reviews... so glad I did! And you need hand weights for it. I don't have any. Used 2 cans of 15.5 ounce chili beans (that I can't eat low carbing) and they worked just fine.

I have both and haven't used them yet, but i loaned them to my sister in law and she likes them both. She had a baby about a year ago and she couldn't get the body figure back she wanted, so she used those along with some other exercise dvd's or games and shes back in shape. i go to a lot of auction sales or second hand stores, trade stuff, and get a few things for lower prices, which i need to get these back and start using them. This will get your joints, skin, and muscles back into shape and keeping your blood pumping. Good luck and keep up that good work.

I'm not going to say I like the DVD, but they work. I did the 30 day shred (10 days on each level). I took a week off and then started Ripped in 30. (That is one week per level for 4 levels) It does get easier as you go - and then each new level is harder!

I am now working on my second cycle, but I'm doing 1 week shred, 1 week zumba, 1 week ripped in 30 and then I will go to the next level each week. I also do other exercising, but I have noticed more definition with the Jillian Michael's programs. I'm not a fan of hers, but the DVDs do help you get in shape. I am suprised how much easier the 30 day shred is the second time around.

I don't have measurements with me, but I did lose a little more weight than I was previously and I did lose some inches.

thanks everyone, ncnole, you have such a good idea! It eliminates the boredom if you do one video each week on one level and then increase levels! I'll look for others, don't know if I'm up to zumba or ripped in 30, ha ha, ripped. I'd just like to look down and see my toes without having to been over a little, and I have big feet! Smile
