I've been exercising twice a day for 5 days and once on saturdays. I've lost 10 inches around my waist and 6 around my hips, but I'm not losing much in the bust area. Is there any exercises besides basic push ups that will target this area?

No matter what, you cannot target a single are to lose from. You might be able to lift them a little by toning up the mucles underneath (push-ups, rows, etc.), but you won't lose fat there by targeting that spot.

I don't mean to discourage you, and I know some people say their breasts are the first to go, but mine never ever go. I lost 60 pounds, dropped from a size 20 to a size 12, and my bra size never changed (my around size changed because I have singificantly less back fat, but my cup size was identical.) I think this is largely genetic, as the women in my family no matter what size are giant-breasted.

Good luck!

Yea, I've heard a lot of women say the boobs are the first to go and I'm like HEY, I wanna lose there too, why can't I? Even at my smallest I was a 38C and I hate it. And no matter how small my waist and hips are, I feel fat because my boobs are too big for my frame.

I wish I could stop my bust size from shrinking! I dropped from a high 34C to a low 32B it seems overnight. First things to go for me, as usual. My tummy is the last and my trainer friend tells me I may now sacrifice my booty while finishing up my ab toning. Sad

Lately it seems like if I even walk by weight machines that engage my shoulders and chest like the rowing machines or the fly machines, my boobs evaporate - so maybe try those?

I've been doing those once or twice a week. Maybe I will try upping that to 3-4 days a week and see if it makes a difference. Maybe I won't lose cup size, but it might lift the muscle underneath and that might look better.

Well, for me, CARDIO lost me a lot of boob-age. Went from DD to C.

I had lost about 50 lbs with minimal change but in the last two months, my bust measurement dropped by 2 inches (and I'm not losing weight THAT quickly!) Which explains my some of my bras were suddenly a little roomy. It all depends on where your body is predisposed to carry weight. Based on genetics, I would expect that I won't lose my curves but that they'll shrink roughly in proportion to the rest of me.

Oh gnat, All I need to do is look at picture of my grandmother now to know I'm doomed. Damn genetics! She was a busty woman, and I'm the only one that got her figure, instead of the petite tiny frame my mom and my 2 other sisters got. i've lost some inches around my bust since starting (probably back fat), but no loss as of Cup size. If only I could take that boob fat and put it around back where I have no butt....le sigh...

Best of luck on the boob front Icymaiden. I've lost over 50 lbs now, and started at a 44DD and currently I'm a 38DD -__- I keep hoping they'd shrink to a D cup, but no go so far. Spent the first several weeks of my journey waiting for them to start shrinking because everyone said they'd be the first to go. XD lol.

Wow, such different responses here for the same type of fat all women have in the same place. I wish like your arm, there was a way to target just the breasts...maybe if I jump up and down and make them move more they'll shrink? LOL

If it is at all encouraging to consider geometry, losing a band size and staying the same cup size actually means smaller breasts. Correct me if I am wrong, but the cup size is the difference between the band and biggest part of the bra, but it's like a linear measure, not volume.

Math is not a skill I have. All I know is I don't wanna be a D cup. Buying clothing when my top is one size, and my bottom is another is a nightmare and forget about cute matching bra and underwear.

Girly I totally and completely get where your coming from!! Im a 40C and I mean a FULL C pushing a D! I have no butt, chicken legs and a tummy and giantic boobs! The only thing large about me is my boobs. Ive lost 20 lbs since Nov and Ive seen a differnce in the inchs and chest muscles have become toned but as far as cup size i have had NO luck. I wish I serioulsy could because on me the last thing to go is my boobs. It SUCKS! I mean when I reach my 120 lb goal I am going to look like a bimbo! LOL I mean it will look like I have HUGE breast implants with out them. Its all natural and it sucks trying to find any shirts! or bras for that matter! I mean Im a 7 in jeans in the juniors section but in the shirts im a XL sometimes even a XXL because of my bust! UGH I hate it! Sad The only thing that floats in the water is my bust lol. So totally I get where your coming from. I guess the only thing we can do it learn to flaunt it and become confident with our busts. I mean at least our men will like it... Smile But seriously if you find a magic workout that takes from the bust please email me! SmileBecause I work out 5-7 days a week. Usually 5, 3 days of weights, 2 days of water aerobics and usually a 5 mile walk everynight. So i thin it may be something we live with or get a breast reduction.

Get used to them girl, they're there to stay! My mother and sisters all have big boobs and no matter how much i lost, i still had them, or as i got older and they lost a little, well, gravity works! It wasn't pretty. So after years of mental anquish, i got a breast reduction. I went from a DD to a C and i'm loving it. Best thing i ever did was throwing up my hands and saying i give up. There are just some things that can't be changed with diet and exercise. If they really really bother you, this might be an option. That being said, i'm still eating healthy and working out. now my droopy butt is my problem! lol, does it ever end? Good luck to ya.

I am sooo glad to hear I'm not the only one who is going through this. It can be a pain when you want your blouses and T-shirts to fit nice, but have to go with an extra large size and end up looking as if you're pregnant. Anyone know what I mean? I think I may have to go the breast reduction/lift route when I finally reach my target weight. I'm 5'1" and a C cup. I see myself very top heavy for my height. Boy, what I would give to be an A+ or a B minus. Lol.Wink

I hate to be the barer of bad news and I most definitely don't want to discourage you but I find that my boobs don't actually go down no matter how much I loose...the last time I check I actually ended up getting bigger boobs. My doctor said that some people lose from the bust first where as others will lose from that area last and others just wont it all depends on your genetics I know it sucks.

Okay ladies, listen to this: I am 5'2" and my bra size is 38DDD. I look like my Italian Grandma with the boobs resting on her stomach. In all my past endeavors to lose weight, I would lose the back fat, but the breasts pretty much stay in the DD-DDD category. Thinking of breast reduction, but I know that's pretty painful. I really laugh when I see these women with huge fake boobs. Having your cleavage under your chin is not sexy!

Mine were the last thing to shrink. I was a DD at 180 and I'm a C at 165. I was getting worried Smile Keep losing fat and eventually you will lose some in the breasts.

But just be aware, they are not likely to be what I would call "perky" after you do lose that fat. Win some, lose some. I prefer my saggy Cs to my inflated DDs any day.

I weigh ,myself every day, but I am new at weight loss and the novelty is still with me. I feel that if I weigh myself weekly I will not be too disappointed with variations.
