I have never tried them, how do you know which ones to buy? Soft or firm and then what do I do with them? Looking to expand my menu so I don't get bored.

I am the only one in the house who eats avacado and they go bad quickly, so I don't buy them often, but when I do I try to find one that's soft if I'm using it soon. I usually just toss them in salad or on tacos. They are good on sandwiches too, you can use them as a spread instead of mayo or just sliced they're creamy so I don't need the dressing.

You might check out the 95%+ avocado dips, easy way to keep it on hand. We spread it on sandwiches etc.

My #1 avacado buying tip. Pull out the stem. If it is all brown underneath then it has gone bad, if it is mostly green then it will be fresh. You want them firm, but not too firm.

Personally if I sprinkle on a little salt & pepper it tastes kinda like a hard boiled egg.
