I had an observation yesterday as I carried about 3 bags of groceries up the stairs in our home. The bags probably weighed around 30 lbs total, which is about how much weight I've lost. I realized I'd basically been carrying those bags everywhere, all the time. Quite a sobering reminder how much extra exertion is truly required for everyday tasks (like stairs) when you're overweight. I can't imagine what it's going to feel like to lose another 30 lbs, and 60 lbs will have me bouncing off the walls--or at least, bounding up the stairs. I keep my Jenny Craig meals in the freezer in our garage and I only permit myself to retrieve one thing at a time so I have the stairs at least 4 times a day. But we also have a flight up to the bedrooms so my house is turning into a damn workout, lol. Anyway, I wondered if anyone else has had any sudden realizations or moments like this?
